    In my case I have found on /var/log/system.log that

    MacBook nsurlsessiond[299]: libcoreservices: __makeDirectory: 405: mkdir: path=/var/folders/zz/zyxvpxvq6csfxvn_n00000y800007k/0/ mode=0755: Operation not permitted

    it is easily solved changing directory /var/folders/zz/zyxvpxvq6csfxvn_n00000y800007k permissions or simply deleting it. I decided to delete it but if you’re afraid you can save the whole subtree /var/folders/zz on a pen drive.

    In your syslog you will see a different directory name, but the solution is the same.
    Once deleted, my macbook is now cold like ice.
